Greetings, my name is Angela and I am a mom with a 17 year old daughter. I don't know if I am in the right place or not, so I figured I would say hello and let you all decide. I found this forum through my iphone with the tapatalk program.
We are both really into trucks. Really. Right now I have 3 vehicles, and a fourth is on the way. I have a 2010 HUMMER H3T, a 2005 HUMMER H2 and a 2009 Jeep Wrangler. In addition I have a motorcycle and a scooter, only because I love having lots of choices :)
My H2 truck is pretty well modified including a complete stage 2 tuning from Predator Motorsports, a complete Borla exhaust system and a lot of other things. I have turned it from a basic truck into something more like a search and rescue vehicle. My Jeep is the summer beach vehicle which I drive with the top down and the doors off. The H3T is my daily driver.
I have a degree in mechanical engineering which is why I like to tinker with vehicles. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty. I also like other things like cooking and chick flicks :)
I have several siberian huskies, 4 to be exact. They are a bit of a pain in the summer but great in the wintertime, when they love to be outdoors all day. That's about it for now, have a great day everyone!!

I also think Mustangs are cool. In fact I looked at one earlier this year, until I found out that HUMMER was being shut down. I live in western MA but I work in CT. If you see any of the HUMMERS in my garage pictures on route 91 and a chick driving, just honk and wave because it's me :)
I'm pretty sure that I own the only H3T within a 50 mile radius, so if you see the blue one it could only be me. If you are ever looking to buy a HUMMER then let me know, I know that brand of truck pretty well.
I became a fan back in 2005 when at the time I had 2 silverado pickups. One of the trucks was only a 2 wheel drive and given that I live on a steep twisty hill, it was always an adventure trying to make it into the driveway in the winter time. I wanted to get rid of one of the trucks so I started shopping online for a replacement, thinking I was going to get an SUV (they were still cool in 2005!!). I was looking at cars one day with my daughter and she was telling me how lame each one was. So I said, sort of half jokingly, what about a HUMMER? Her eyes lit up like a Christmas tree!
I started by going to the closest dealer to me, Crowley in Hartford. I am guessing that they didn't want to sell a truck to a woman, so they treated me like they didn't want the sale. I called around and found a dealer in Rhode Island who told me to come on down and take a test drive. I was simply amazed at how easy it was to drive such a large truck. It really drives more like a car than a truck. Well other than genuine sticker shock, I was a little apprehensive about the price tag. Even with a good trade-in that I owned free and clear and cash to boot, I was still talking about borrowing $45K to own this truck. So I ended up signing my life away LOL.
A few years goes by and the H2 is mostly a weekend adventure vehicle and an occasional take me to work car. The warranty is up and I decided to find out what this "off roading" stuff is all about. The next thing I know I am dropping money into my truck for better performance and I joined the HUMMER club. There I started learning about the different models and even different flavors of H1's. They are a great group of people to hang out with.
So I learned that they were coming out with a truck version and I thought I would wait until I found out it would be delayed a year, so I went out and bought an Avalanche instead. That served me well but deep down I really wanted that HUMMER truck. When they announced the 0% financing/5000 cash in April, I called my friendly dealer in RI. They only had 1 truck and it was bright red, a color I already had in my Avalanche and I was looking for a change. I called around, and found a truck at a dealer just outside Boston so I bought it. I have never seen another one on the road and I think it's pretty cool owning such a unique vehicle. Most people don't even know HUMMER made a truck!
After hanging out with the other HUMMER owners I finally decided I also wanted an H1 to complete my collection. H1's are different to buy. It's like buying a Lamborghini or anything exotic. Lovely to look at, but expect to spend 1000's for even the simplest of repairs. I didn't want a lemon and I wanted a vehicle that wasn't going to need $5k repair bills after it hits my driveway. So I asked my HUMMER club friends and one of the club experts told me he would help me find a truck and the rest is history!!
In the middle of all this, I earned an exceptional bonus last year from my job and went out and bought the Jeep. It's also a fun vehicle to own especially on days like today!! So there we have it!!
I will save the puppies for another day. I just finished about an hour of brushing and my arms are tired now! Let's just say that Huskies are pack animals and really need a pack to hang with so more Huskies is better than one.

Very nice. I don't know much about Hummer's but now I'm totally wanting to drive one! You'd be a good saleswoman for them :p

:banana1:well hot damn! majority of the guys around here in md say they think its cool but when they see you in action working on engines and getting greasey and dirty they run the other way.. so yea to actually find a guy who is cool with that is hard to come by. hence why i dont have a bf most of the time because mom thinks that guys get intimidated by what i do?????
