hopefully soon I am going to start watching someone elses kids during the week for some exta money.. after I get my debt paid off I am thinking of saving my money to buy myself a set of wheels. I am wanting something awd for the winter time here. and I am looking for something suvish. I am tired of cars. what would be a good one to choose in your opinion. I am open to idea. I was thinking either sticking with Nissan or going subaru but I am undecided.

chevy is an awesome one to go with! my dad has a 3500 silverdao and it was awesome in our snow conditions, and when mom had her suburban that was a beast as well! i have an equinox, which i love but its def not a snow vehicle!

Wife has a Nissan Rogue which she loves...AWD, heated seats, remote starter
Nissan makes a solid car unless you drive it like you stole it :)

shoot I drive my nissans like I stole em and they are awsome. and my boyfriend has a subaru forester and it seems nice. I have seen the rogue a few times. I have thought about em. its pretty much a tossup between rogue, murano(love how it looks) and a forester. I would go baja but they are just to hard to find. the best thing about a subaru is no matter how old they get they will hold their value..not only that but alot of em come stock turbo'd. but the down fall there to get the turbo to work like it should u have to do some mods to the car.

Well the Suby's are crazy great in winter! Totally go with what you like the most though. Go test drive both and see which one you like best!

I would be inclined to vote Jeep, but given your considerations a Nissan would be my next choice.

Well if you look at my garage, you know what brand I vote for :) But in all truth there are a lot of people who have 2007-2008 HUMMER h3's that are coming off of leases, so they would be low mileage and probably still under warranty. They usually have great warranties because the trucks are so heavy duty.
Most have leather interiors and some have navigation and bluetooth built in, and if equipped, they have huge sunroofs on them. The best part though is winter driving. These trucks are full time 4x4, there is never any switching or anything. It doesn't matter if the road is dry, wet or under 12 inches of snow, it's all the same to the truck. The other 4x4 settings inside the truck are for mud, rocks, soft sand and crossing through water, if that interests you :)

My 2010 H3T with a 3.7L engine is running around 14mpg city and 20 highway. The H2 is around 11-12mpg.

Every time I see one I am reminded of those commercials  I have never driven one although I do know they have a good warranty. My impression of the ones I have rode in is they are just very cheap construction.

ya I kno the kia's are not the best made but it got me thinking after seeing the one my friend owns yesterday that it might not b that bad of a vehicle but I am still undecided on what I want. she has the limited edition one and says she loves it. I think I do need something bigger than that esp with the trunk size. it looks like it might not fit my stroller in there. and that is a must for me. if I cant fit that in there then how would I fit all my groceries in it. haha

What about the Nissan Cube? I think it is butt ugly IMO, but it is a lot like the Soul, but you have Nissan quality behind it.

its a bit to small for me and I really dont like my cars that boxy. the soul does have a lil more curve to it lol. I swear it feels like the cars have to fill out a application for me to approve of em to chose what I want

Omg those are way ugly ..but if you don't care about that I bet it's got decent reliability. Only thing with those is that they are not tried and true but sometimes that doesn't even matter.

I have no comment for this, other then KIAs are "ok" My parents have one and it is decent just has alot of quirks and issues coming up once in a while
