Have you ever thought about having your windows tinted? Believe it or not, there are a number of advantages other than simply making your vehicle look more aesthetically pleasing. If you haven’t given much thought to tinting your car windows, then here are a few reasons to consider it.

Window film reflects almost 100% of harmful UV solar radiation.

Tinting reduces up to 60% of the sun’s heat coming through your car’s glass windows.

Window tint reduces solar glare by over half.

Tint reduces heat, which reduces the amount of work your car’s air conditioner has to do. This in turn can increase your car’s fuel efficiency while on the road.

Tinting your windows makes your interior less visible to people, which means an increased amount of security for any valuables left inside and an additional deterrent for thieves.

Car window tinting can improve the resale value of your vehicle.

Most importantly, in the event of an accident, car glass fragments are secured by the window tint film which reduces the chance of being injured or cut by the debris.

If your interest is now peeked in having your car’s windows tinted, then my personal recommendation is to first, check out your state laws on tint and second, contact a professional company. There are do it yourself applications, however if you’re inexperienced with applying tint, then I highly recommend consulting an established business.

It's the law haha
We can't have any on the drivers/passenger windows and windshield. We can have it on the rear ones though, but I think just rear tint would look stupid on a Mustang lol.
They say it's cause they either can't see if you have a seatbelt on, or if you're in an accident the glass would break differently and could decapitate you.
Places will still put tint on for you here, but you will for sure get a ticket with in the first week. My mom has tint on her Integra and has been stopped twice, and my boyfriend had tint on his Probe and was stopped 3 times before he took it off. And the tickets are NOT cheep! It sucks

This is so true lol I found that out first hand :(

Here we can only have 50% on front windows by law. Butttt I am getting away with 35% so far. hehe

wow that does suck that you cant have tint on your other windows besides the back ones. we can have all the windows tinted except for the windshield. i dont recall what the legal limit is for us, but im thinking about going and getting my windshield tinted anyways. i like the idea of no one being able to see in my truck at night. i dont mind so much during the day. but tint around here can get pricey as well. it does suck as to how expensive it cant get up to

That's how Missouri is...back windows only. Kansas we can do all windows and the rear one too.

I have 5% all around (except for my windshield...the strip is 5%, but is twice the size of the legal strip size. :X

Talk about rebellion! lol

But the tint helps out SO much when it comes to the the Florida heat....I don't think I'll ever remove mine. I didn't do it, but apparently down here (not sure of any other states) there is a form you can get some way or another that 'allows' you to have the dark tint...I don't want to say too much about it, tho! lol

I have been ticketed 2 times in the past 3 years for my dark tint *knocks on wood*...thankfully it hasn't been too much of an attention getter.

I'm not normally one to rebel :quoties: but with tint I do because they should just sit in their car with a megaphone and tell you to roll down if you get stopped!!!! Makes sense to me.

Exactly...I mean, they don't like dark tint because they can't see whose driving. Why don't they just stop you and require you to keep your windows rolled down or something...or like you said, yell with a megaphone. But then again, that wouldn't make them money! :duh:
