Yeah, I saw this segment awhile back! It's something good to know when you get so-called "new tires"! It's all about being safe and taking precautions! Good call, Britt!

The sad things is (as stated in the video) Manufacturers have known about this for years, and a few dealers have even tried to get some regulation passed as to the age of a tire, which can be sold.

Notice the lawyer keeps stating "no scientific evidence", yet has has not asked how anyone came up with their numbers. So he really doesn't know if there is any scientific evidence or not...

Hmm think I'm gonna go check mine. I had Kumho's put on a few years back that were really old and a shop told me that too, that's when I called Discount Tire and told them what I knew and they promptly replaced them I'm sure to avoid a lawsuit.

That's very interesting. I had no idea that tires made back in the 1990's were still being sold. Now I'm going to have to go check mine. Ha.
