i did mine on my 88 myself... they sell a spray that really does work, you just put as many coats as you want on and let it dry in a safe area. you can make them as dark or light as you want.... the product i got was called nighshade.. i used it on 2 of my cars and my bf's mustang it worked out great for me... u should give it a try. if so just make sure to prep your tail lights before you begin to spray it on.

Do you spray it on the outside or the inside of the tail lights? Sounds like a way to go! Thanks!

yea i did it on the outside. you 1st take the lights out.. scuff them up lightly like so its smooth then wash the outside so its clean no dust.. then spray it on lightly and evenly and let it dry between sprays.... the more layers you spray the darker your tints will be m=]

If you are going to do it yourself and not sure, I'd find a cheap junkyard set to experiment with first. Not everyone ends up with a good result as I've seen time and time again at shows.
