Did anyone go to this event?

I heard that here in the past few years they haven't let you go over 60mph. I know when I went they were letting the car clubs each do the laps together and were upwards of 85-90mph and the Ford GT's they were letting go well over 100 mph!

Did you get to go? It was one of the most interesting and fun things I've ever done! :D

it feels like your car is going to tip over when you get out there and drive on it LOL it's a lot STEEPER than it looks from the stands haha.

Yeah I know! Daytona is like that too. i can hardly even walk on the track!

I had to google it. Turns at Texas are 24 degrees and turns at Daytona are 31 degrees

well all I know is I was a tad skurred in the beginning :lol:

Yeah, i remember the first time CJ and I got to take his truck out on the track here localy. They do that if it rains to help dry the track off. They ask anyone and everyone to start driving around on it and CJ did! :lol: he was racing his Titan around the oval and I had my seat belt on! HAHA It did feel really wierd to be drivin sideways!

Sorry, it's been awhile since I've been on here.

Erin, I did go. I didn't go with my car club. I went with some friends...mustang friends! We all went as a group. It was 3 mustangs and my husband's Chrysler 300C! I love hangin with the mustang peeps! They are more accepting and fun to be around with!

It was raining so the pace car was not letting us go more than 75mph. Sucked but it was fun!:banana1:
