So yeah....
I get a notice in the mail yesterday saying my insurance company is cancelling our policy because of a ticket I got 4 YEARS AGO!!!!!
"...the offense is uninsurable for 5 years..."
So it takes 4 of those 5 years for them to http://midatlanticmusclecars.com/Smileys/classic/censored.gif notify me?!?!?! (although I suppose the ticket I just got is how they 'remembered' it)
So here I sit...fuming, waiting on the insurance office to open.
I've already gotten an online quote through Allstate (who doesn't seem to be offended by my less than stellar driving record)...and whaddaya know, the quote has BETTER coverage and is CHEAPER than what we've had.
What companies do ya'll use and have you had any problems w/ claims if you ever needed it? (I have to insure 5 vehicles.....)

OUCH that sucks girl. I hope you get it all worked out.. but yeah... 4 out of 5 years... and then they do that.. that sucks... A WHOLE LOT
As for My Insurance.. (since Erenz and I are still working on combining things) Its through State Farm..... I personally haven't had any issues with them and they have been pretty courteous with no issues at all... I even had a claim.. where they "fixed" the car and I found a few more thing wrong with it and they totaled it. the next day.. Dunno.. just always had a good experience with them.

have you checked on USAA? They tend to have the best rates ever, and since you are in the military, you are elegable.

I've used Nationwide for 10 years and 1 claim and they were fairly easy to work on with it. :) Nationwide has been the cheapest for me with the best coverage. Good luck!

I just finished a quote through State Farm. They're cheaper (w/ better converage than I had) too. Seems it's time for me to shop around anyway.
But yeah, the ticket 4 years ago? Speeding, and while it was 56/35, he did NOT write me for reckless, I did NOT have to go to court. I prepaid the darn thing. (All I did was pass someone and the cop caught me at acceleration.) But my current insurance doesn't care what I was actually "charged" with, they're only looking at the number. :banghead:

I have Liberty Mutual and they are amazing :] and I can hook you up with a good deal :]
I am about to be 19 years old and only pay 120 a month full coverage on a stang with a 500 deductible.

That sucks, but sounds like you're comming out ahead anyways :)
I have nationwide also, compared tons of quotes when I moved to TX and bought my stang, and they were the cheapest.

gosh girl I am sorry to hear but I am glad your getting a better deal so some good came out of all of this.
I use Farm Bureau and YEARS AGO in a 3 year period I had rec a couple of tickets & 4 accidents 3 of them being my fault (I had my head up a boys a$$) and they did not raise my coverage OR cancel me so I am gonna stick with them :D a bunch of my troopers use geico and get a government rate more coverage than any other place they checked with I haven’t checked with them to see what kind of a deal I could get cause I again am gonna stick with Farm Bureau
