hey all. just joined. saw 10293 bulletins on myspace lately and figured it was time. i see a few familiar faces too.

hmm so a little about me, eh?

name is Christy. i'm 23 and from lovely HOT south florida. i work at DiabloSport doing Tech Support for the Predators and other tuning products.

my dad and his entire family have been into drag racing far before i was born. my cousin sitll races the rail cars (dragsters) and wins events left and right, including a Ford Power Fest Quick 16 event this past weekend. So that is my inspiration for getting into vehicles as well as I FRIGGIN' LOVE IT!!! :rawk:

and well now that i've rambled on. i look forward to talking to just the girls. it's awesome to see more girls getting involved. i know that down here myself and my 2 best friends work at 3 performance related companies (UPR, DiabloSport and Specialties Machining) and we don't just do receptionist work!!

And the black is painted on there. But I think there is a company that makes a vinyl piece I saw. Not sure, though. I used to work at a body shop for 2 years so I would always experiment. LOL.

Never got a good run. :( The run in the video was HORRIBLE (13.8 @ 106) and now the synchros in my tranny are going and I know it's a TSB but i'm going to just go ahead and build up a 4r70w with a manual valve body, stall, etc. I know the car is capable of 12s because the camaro i was racing in the video (on a private track of course) runs 12.2 @ 109 and from a dig I had a fender, from 20- and 40-rolls I was only behind by a fender. Maybe one day she'll be track worthy again!

I bet you could do it ...I took my car apart and painted the pieces myself with paint matched to my car ...Its not hard ...I sanded preped and clear coated ........:rawk:

if you like banging gears....get a Tremec 3550 and call it a day! I got a pair of foxes shifting their way into 10's no problem :rawk:

autos = great for turbos. :)

it's also gonna be daily driven a lot and with south florida traffic, my left leg is already bigger than my right from the clutch haha.

ahh i got ya! Yeah if i went turbo I'd definitely go auto....got a few buddies with stick turbo cars and they dont have the best luck in the world

What's your wheel/tire combo? Are they 18s? Your car looks pretty low, or does the Pro-Kit drop it a lot?

they're 17" black FR500s, front tires are 275/40 and rear tires are 315/35.

the springs are ProKits but we cut 1/2 coil off because it just wasn't sitting right to me. :)
you can get the sportlines and i believe it's the same effect as mine.
