Upcoming M&G - OG and DFWLX Members!!

How exciting huh!

Tre's (ponygirl) husband is the president of the DFWLX club and we are in the process of planning a meet and greet for Early September. No date/time/locale set yet. It will be of course here in the DFW area.

I would really love it if all our local DFW OG's could attend! All who are interested please post up and let us know. It will help in our planning! This should be a very fun event and a chance to make new friends, and learn about each other's rides!

honest opinion here, it takes both sides and I've not really heard from DFWLX group and when I was logging in there, I wasn't getting much response other than to not post about my Mustang :p. I understand most car clubs are exclusive, but OG isn't. I'm concerned that not many from there will be interested in this M&G because of the exclusivity.

Of course I could be wrong, I'm just going on my initial impression. :)

I just want everyone to feel welcome and have a good time at this M&G, that is the main objective. :) However, so much time has passed and I'm extremely busy with the website right now (tomorrow is our 1 yr anniversary) and then I am taking vacation a few weeks after so it will be after October 20th timeframe before I am able to schedule anything.

edit: I also don't even know the person I'm supposed to be working with over at DFWLX to start planning.

Well I'm always busy, that's the issue! Basically we need to find out where everyone is, and come to a central meeting location that is fairly easy for everyone or it won't be very successful. We need to also keep in mind that some of us have kiddos so it needs to be kid friendly, and also somewhere who will host us without issue, good parking, etc :D I will take any help anyone wants to offer to get this going!

Completely understand! 300CSRT8 (Rob) is the the prez, his wife is ponygirl (on OG) and 1stlady on DFWLX. I believe MECHA is the actual event planner. So might want to start with him. I'll shoot him a pm so he'll have a heads up. The further out we have notice about an event seems to be when the most people show up. If you have any ideas, be sure and throw them at him. They do have a weekly gathering at a Wendy's/Taco Bell parking lot in Frisco every Thursday night. However, there are a number of us that can't get to those due to the distance. So, if there was enought interest, a weekend meet would be good, eh? Just throwing ideas out there....

Hey Michelle, maybe once you have a date from Eric, start a thread here to see how many OGs would be able to make it. I think Grapevine would be a good location for a M&G. Maybe @ Grapevine Mills Mall.
