The site has the perfect look - girly without being sickeningly sweet. :) Congratulations!
I'm Lou. I've talked with some of yall on other sites, I know. I am excited to find a site for car-minded gals, and operated by women too. Though I don't consider myself a feminist per se, I do have a huge distaste for the judgments & inequalities forced upon us members of the fairer sex. And I especially despise the way women into this hobby are often treated by our male counterparts - like we're only good for scantily clad photo ops, or we must be "bulldykes" (I was actually called that for being active in a local car club), or that we can't drive just as well as they can - Like a ***** is required for operation of a motor vehicle or something! I only hope this site will be a little less clique-y than some of the other female enthusiast sites I've visited.
Anyway, not to make an already long post even longer, but my car is an '07 Roush S1 Mustang. Mods are in my signature. This season has been my first experience with drag racing, & I am hooked! Been modifying my pony ever since about the beginning of the year - little bits at a time, but it sure does seem like we've done a lot to it in that short amount of time. My husband is a mechanic, so that sure helps defray some costs, & he has taught me so much about my car & helped me learn how to work on it. He's a sweet guy - I don't know any other man who would present his wife with a sports car while he drives around in the family mini-van :).
Thanks for reading, and I hope to meet a lot of cool chicks around here.
